At Tranquil Birth and Bodywork, I’m committed to offering therapeutic bodywork that supports deep release and lasting relief. One of the most effective and empowering techniques I use is called Cupping in Motion; a modern, movement-based approach to traditional cupping therapy.
What Is Cupping in Motion?
Cupping in Motion combines gentle suction with guided movement to unlock tension and support the body’s natural healing. I use medical-grade silicone cups to create suction on specific areas of your body. These cups are soft, flexible, and allow for smooth motion across the skin.
In a session, I may glide the cups across tight muscles or stagnant areas; or I may guide you to move your own body while the cups remain in place. These movements, like lifting your arm, rotating your hips, or stretching, activate the fascia and muscles for deeper release.
This approach is ideal for those looking to address muscular tension, postural issues, and energetic blocks in an interactive, functional way.
Whole-Body Application with Safe Boundaries
Cupping in Motion can be applied to most areas of the body, including:
•Shoulders
•Back
•Arms and forearms
•Hips and glutes
•Thighs, legs, calves, ankles and feet
However, for your safety and comfort, I avoid:
•The front of the neck
•The abdomen (in certain cases)
•Any areas with broken skin, inflammation, or bruising
While Cupping in Motion is highly effective, it is not suitable for elderly individuals or those who are pregnant. The tissue in these populations is more sensitive and may not respond safely to the suction and movement involved.
Why Clients Love Cupping in Motion
•Releases deep fascial and muscular tension
•Improves mobility and range of motion
•Increases circulation and lymphatic flow

Whether you’re addressing chronic tightness, increasing mobility, or simply reconnecting with your body, Cupping in Motion offers a powerful and personalized experience.
