What are Chakra’s?
At Tranquil Birth and Bodywork, I believe that true wellness goes beyond just the physical. It’s about nurturing your energy, emotions, and spirit, too. One of the key concepts I use in my practice to help clients feel balanced and aligned is the idea of chakras. But if you’re new to the idea, you might be wondering—what exactly are chakras, and why do they matter?
What Exactly Are Chakras?
The word “chakra” comes from Sanskrit and means “wheel” or “disk.” Think of chakras as spinning energy centers within your body. There are seven main chakras, running along your spine from the base all the way up to the crown of your head. Each one affects specific areas of your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
When your chakras are open and balanced, energy flows freely, and you feel grounded, energized, and connected. But when one or more become blocked or imbalanced, you might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or even physically unwell.
The Seven Main Chakras
Let me walk you through each of the seven chakras and what they represent:

Why I Care About Chakras
When I work with clients, I often notice how much their energy centers impact their overall well-being. Balanced chakras can help you feel more peaceful, confident, and in tune with yourself. On the flip side, imbalances might show up as stress, fatigue, emotional struggles, or even physical discomfort.
That’s why I incorporate chakra balancing techniques into many of my services.
